How to Connect and Use the Triple Whale Integration
Integrating Inflektion with Triple Whale allows your affiliate and influencer program metrics to appear directly inside your Triple Whale attribution and analytics dashboards. By connecting the two platforms, you can track the revenue your affiliates drive, view your influencer program's performance side-by-side with your paid ad channels, and measure true ROI for every affiliate, all in one place.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to configure the integration.
Important: UTM Parameter Format
For Triple Whale to correctly attribute sales to your affiliates, your affiliate tracking links must use the following UTM parameter format exactly:
?utm_source=inflektion&utm_medium=influencers&utm_campaign={affiliate_id}
If your links are not already set up with UTMs matching this Triple Whale link format, when sending over the API key please also provide Inflektion with the authorization to update your UTM parameters to match. Without this exact format, Triple Whale will not be able to attribute affiliate traffic and sales correctly, and duplicate data will ensue.
Generating Your Triple Whale API Key
To connect the two platforms, you will need to create an API Key in your Triple Whale account.
- Log in to your Triple Whale dashboard.
- Navigate to Data in the left menu, then select APIs, and click Generate API Key. That page will look like the screenshot below.
- Create the API key with the following permissions enabled:
- Summary Page: Read
- Ads: Write
- Generate the key and copy it to your clipboard. (Note: Keep this key secure and do not share it publicly.)
Sending Your API Key to Inflektion
Once your API key has been generated, send it over to your contact at Inflektion. Our team will complete the connection on our end and confirm once your affiliate data is syncing to Triple Whale.
If you have not yet confirmed that your links use the required UTM format above, include your authorization for Inflektion to update the UTM parameters in the same message.
